Gangtok to Lachen Food & Travel Journey North Sikkim | Episode 4

23:31
This is day 4 of our Sikkim travel. North sikkim has so many waterfalls, such a beautiful journey. North Sikkim is one of the places to visit in Sikkim Clouds, waterfalls, calm place and so much more during this journey, we also enjoyed amazing brunch at one of the food joints. If you want to support this channel, please visit: https://www.patreon.com/visa2explore Details of places visited by us is given below: Distance between Gangtok to Lachen North Sikkim 135 Km 1.Naamsingh WaterFall 2. Seven Sisters Waterfall Samosa ₹10 & Tea ₹10 nearby to this Waterfall 3. We bought some Vegetables from Local Vegetable Shop for our onward journey, as advised by our Driver, you will not get these in Lachen. If you want to have Traditional food you can bought some Vegetables. 4. Country BA & Restaurant: They are really good on traditional food. Every food we had at this place was lifetime experience. If you enjoy traditional food then this is a great place... Fooding & Lodging Address - Tingchim Zero, North Sikkim, Opp. IInd Last Petrol Pump of North Sikkim Traditional Meal - ₹ 250 Contact number - 9002774881, 9647853099, There is no telecom network at this place so these numbers may not be of much help.. 5. Singhik View Point, Mangan You will get to see beautiful scenic view from this point. We went there in Monsoon weather we could not see the Mt. Kanchenjunga, otherwise from this point, Mount kanchenjunga can be seen clearly. We did this journey through a local travel agency, its name is Tamu travels… Lalit is the owner: Tamu Tour and travels Development area, Gangtok east Sikkim. http://www.tamutourandtreks.com/ 9832564013 9002069916. This journey from Gangtok to North Sikkim then west and south Sikkim for us was about 7 nights and 8 days.. It costed us Rs 35k… 35k is only for taxi for 8 days. Other costs are extra. This 8 day journey is for North, south and west Sikkim. We paid Rs 2500 for taxi per day in Gangtok, that was for 8 hours.. they charge extra if you hire beyond 8 hours.. we virtually ended up paying about Rs 3300 to 3500 per day for local sight seeing bcoz we had taxi with full for full day early morning to late evening. This complete complete journey from Gangtok to Lachen in North sikkim took us about 13 hours…. Reason it took time was bcoz we stopped for food, shoot took time plus every 30 minutes we took break to see and enjoy the beauty… If you want to plan this journey, i will suggest you to get your bookings done properly because it involves permit. We did this journey during last week of June 2018, which is an off season time… Important note for this journey: Avoid rainy season. Travel in either feb or March or in oct and nov to enjoy sikkim the most. Check with your travel agent on the fact whether can travel to North sikkim or not because some of the routes are closed because of snow. Cost for minimum low cost travel two and a half days in Gangtok will be about Rs 11000 - details in description of previous episodes of Gangtok: Taxi cost for travel to North or other regions of Sikkim: Rs 3500 per day, for certain cost moment you are 2 people cost goes high. for example i have put 400 fare from siliguri to Gangtok for one person so you have to adjust if you are two. Food Rs 1500 hotel: Rs 2000 For every day that you travel in Sikkim minimum cost will be Rs 7000. North sikkim i don't think you can travel by bus, i am not sure, suggest check with some one else...but yes you can travel to other districts of sikkim by bus, check details with tourism office in MG marg Gangtok for details. MG marg is the place which is heart of Gangtok, try taking a hotel near MG marg. Sikkim is over all expensive, so be sure on costs bcoz your budgets can over shoot, especially if you are going in peak season. Cost that you are see are of off season, during season every thing is atleast 30 percent higher on cost... If you have any experience of sikkim travel, do share that in comments below. I would look forward to hear back from you in this regard. Thanks Harish bali

We found some amazing Sichuan style Tibetan street food along the way. We start out by visiting a local street food noodle joint and then traveled along the 318 highway that goes all the way from Shanghai to Tibet. We stopped in a small village along the way to enjoy some Sichuan style Tibetan street food and then kept moving on our street food tour to Litang. We are traveling in China on a 6 week street food journey through Sichuan and Yunnan, in search of the best street food and to discover unknown street food and chat with friendly locals. The Ultimate Indonesian Food Day Trip - HUGE Nasi Liwet Feast!

28:14
►Check out my list of 50 incredible Indonesian foods: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ ►Ken's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtMgyCDsju9EtUf2yBM0aZw During my trip to Jakarta, I mostly remained in the city. But Ken and Gratiana from http://cowokrakus.com/ invited my wife Ying and I to go with them and their family on an Indonesian food trip to Bogor and the surrounding region (about an hour from Jakarta). Our first stop when we drove out of Jakarta and to Bogor was a famous place to eat Bogor style laksa at a restaurant called Laksa Bogor Pak Inin. It was exactly my kind of a restaurant, open air and local, with a wonderful friendly environment. The laksa was unlike any other laksa I’ve ever had, and it was fantastic. Laksa Bogor - 10,000 IDR ($0.72) Next, we stopped at a place called Toge Goreng Pak Abung, which is another legendary Indonesian food stop in Bogor, Indonesia, and they are famous for serving a bean sprout snack. It was definitely a very interesting dish, including a mixture of bean sprouts and fermented soy beans. Toge Goreng - 7,000 IDR ($0.51) Next we drove into the beautiful Indonesian countryside and to the house. After having some Indonesian snacks and refreshing coconut, we then took a hike to go look for honey. The beekeeper was sick on the day we went, so we we’re able to get any honey, but it was still a beautiful hike. The highlight of this Indonesian food trip for me was the Sundanese style Nasi Liwet Botram family feast that we had. All the food was laid out on banana leaves, and we all sat and ate some of the most beautiful and flavorful Indonesian food. It was an incredible culinary experience. We drove back to Bogor and stopped at Warung Nasi Ampera to eat a quick dinner, and because I wanted to try some ikan pepes. The food was alright, but nothing compared to the lunch feast we had eaten! Total price - 103,000 IDR ($7.46) for 3 plates of food Finally, back in Jakarta, we stopped near Manga Besar to have some desserts and to finish of this incredible day of Indonesian food. Sekoteng - 12,000 IDR ($0.87), Wedang Ronde - 12,000 IDR ($0.87) It was an incredible Indonesian food trip to the outskirts of Bogor, and a nice opportunity to get out of Jakarta for the day. A big thank you to Ken, Gratiana, and her family for inviting us to their house country house and for the amazing food. -- KEN: Videos : https://www.youtube.com/c/cowokrakustube Blog: http://cowokrakus.com/ MY WEBSITES: Migrationology.com: http://migrationology.com/ EatingThaiFood.com: http://eatingthaifood.com/ TravelByYing.com: http://travelbyying.com/ Camera I use: https://migrationology.com/travel-resources/ T-shirts: https://migrationology.com/store/ Get e-mail updates: https://migrationology.com/free-updates SOCIAL MEDIA: Snapchat: @migrationology Instagram: https://instagram.com/migrationology Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/migrationology ►Jakarta Travel Guide: https://migrationology.com/travel-guides/jakarta-indonesia/ ►50 of the Best Indonesian Dishes: https://migrationology.com/indonesian-food/ -- Thank you for watching this Indonesian food video!

Village Cambodian Food - AMAZING Cooking Curry Over Fire in Kampong Cham | Travel in Cambodia!

19:02
Subscribe for more videos► http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe T-shirts for sale here► https://migrationology.com/store/ During my trip to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I was looking to visit a village nearby to do some cooking and eating and learn about the culture. So after doing some research, I came across OBT Chiro Village in Kampong Cham, not too far away from Phnom Penh. Although by distance it was quite close, because the roads are not fantastic, it takes about 2 hours to arrive. We arrived at about 8 am. The OBT Chiro Village is sponsored by a local Cambodian NGO that educates and empowers children in the village. And they have helped to bring electricity and running water to the village, that sits along the banks of the Mekong River, not far from Kampong Cham, Cambodia. We were greeted by our host family, and as soon as we arrived, we headed over to the main Kampong Cham market to do some shopping for the Cambodian food cooking we were going to do. The market was fantastic, huge, but friendly, and stocked full of fresh ingredients and lots and lots of fruit. The prices were so cheap as well. We bought many of the supplies we needed. After a fully loaded tuk tuk ride back to Chiro Village to start cooking! Along with a couple of different Cambodian dishes, the main dish the family cooked was Khmer curry, a mixture of spices and herbs, pounded into a paste, and cooked along with coconut milk and both pork and chicken. BBC - Italy Unpacked: The Art of the Feast

59:02
Andrew Graham-Dixon and chef Giorgio Locatelli travel through Italy exploring the country's history, culture, food, art and landscape. Their journey begins in Bologna, the capital of Emilia-Romagna, one of the richest regions in Italy. They find out why the city is know as la Dotta (the Learned), la Grassa (the Fat) and la Rossa (the Red), while visiting its shops, art institutions and the oldest university in the world. Andrew and Giorgio experience the social and friendly atmosphere of the region and meet fishermen casting huge nets at the mouth of the river Po. From there, it is a short journey to Ferrara where they discover the legacy left by the famous dynasty d'Este, and to Modena, home of balsamic vinegar and Ferrari. Finally, Giorgio reveals the source of modern Italian cuisine - at the Palatina Library in Parma he views an original copy of the first cook book of the newly united Italy - while Andrew admires Correggio's magnificent fresco in the dome of Parma Cathedral.

A multicultural display of extremely delicious specialty food is available for eating. Within Malaysian street food, there is Malay Street food, Chinese Street Food, and Indian street food all available to try and the options are endless. Kuala Lumpur street food is some of the best in the world. Street food around the world is different everywhere, but what is so special about Malaysia is how multicultural everything is and how unique the cooking and food culture is. So for my 3rd trip to Malaysia, we came for a Kuala Lumpur food tour. Chuchu and I decided to travel to Malaysia on a 4 day eating vacation to eat as much street food and local specialties as we could. With our limited amount of time on this trip, we ate non stop to sample all of the Kuala Lumpur food available. That being said, in 4 days, we barely scratched the surface of Malaysian food, there is so much more! We visited a few famous Chinese cuisine places, a few famous Malay cuisine places, and of course some amazing Indian cuisine as well. Below are the addresses for the Malaysian cuisine that we sampled in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: 1) Chinese Indian Food (Fish Head Curry) - PUDU CHINESE INDIAN RICE @ RESTORAN SIN HIAP KEE 2) Nasi Campur and Ikan Bakar @ Gerai Pak Lang Ikan Bakar - Kampung Baru 3) Malaysian dessert street Cendol 4) Malaysian Nasi Lemak at Village Park 5) Banana Leaf Rice at Sri Paandi in Little India (Brickfields) 6) Nasi Dagang only open on the weekends at Nasi Dagang Warung Terengganu 6) Ooi Noodle House famous Pork Noodle 7), Jalan SS 15/4b, Ss 15, 47500 Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia 8)Restoran Home Cooking @ Sungai Way, PJ - near the Indian temple at Sungai Way 9) Durian at SS2 Durian Wai’s Durian 10) Dry Bak Kut Teh AKA Rougucha @ Yap Chuan Bak Kut Teh, Puchong 11) Roti Canai at Nasi Kandar Pelita MY GEAR AND RESOURCES + MERCH ► New Camera (AWESOME 4K) : https://amzn.to/2MnyBsg ► Main Lens: https://amzn.to/2MjnuAr ► Great Second Lens (FOR CLOSEUPS): https://amzn.to/2ntJvhG ► Favourite Telephoto: https://amzn.to/2vy3lwU ► Take everywhere cam: https://amzn.to/2P0b2Eb ► Action Cam (WATERPROOF) https://amzn.to/2Macjec ► Audio Setup (GREAT for clear voice): https://amzn.to/2MgzYJc ► Memory Card (for 4K footage): https://amzn.to/2OZrOTO ► Editing Computer (SUPER FAST): https://amzn.to/2M9nIuD ► Main External Hard Drive: https://amzn.to/2OXr4P3 ► Main SSD Hard Drive: https://amzn.to/2OZOyTS ► How I Access The Internet ANYWHERE: https://amzn.to/2vv0TY3 ► MUSIC I USE (Great For YouTubers): http://bit.ly/FoodRangerMusic ►BEST VPN FOR CHINA (ACCESS YOUTUBE): http://bit.ly/AccessYouTubeinChina ► MERCH AVAILABLE HERE: https://shop.bonfire.com/thefoodranger/ ABOUT THE FOOD RANGER ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- My name is Trevor James and I'm a hungry traveler and Mandarin learner that's currently living in Chengdu, Szechuan, China, eating up as much delicious . New Zealand: The Ultimate Travel Guide by TourRadar 5/5

11:37
New Zealand: The Ultimate Travel Guide by TourRadar gives you all the info you need to explore this nation of Kiwis. Learn some basics about the country, including what you have to do & see once you arrive, when it's best to travel and which food & drinks you definitely need to enjoy throughout your journey. ----------------------------------------------- New Zealand has a lot to offer even the most particular traveller. From the lively neighbourhoods of Wellington to the breathtaking Fiordland of the South Island, there's an adventure tucked away in every corner of this impressive country. Consider living out your own Lord of the Rings adventure in Hobbiton, or hike past Mt. Doom in Tongariro National Park. Not thrilling enough? Then skydive over Auckland, go white water rafting down Kaituna River or take a leap of faith and bungee jump in Queenstown! When you're in New Zealand, nearly ever adventure is only a stone's throw away. Make the most out of your visit to this remote island nation by assembling your bucket list with our travel guide. Booking a tour will ensure your trip is fun, flawless and stress-free: http://www.tourradar.com/d/new-zealand New Zealand boasts a temperate climate with plenty of sunshine and moderate rainfall. Because of the long coast line, you can expect mild temperatures for the most part. The average temperature decreases as you travel south; January and February are the warmest months with July being the coldest month of the year. Remember to pack your waterproof hiking boots, waterproof rain jacket, swimsuit, flip flops, thin gloves, hiking socks, sunglasses, and a camera with extra batteries. New Zealand's currency is the New Zealand Dollar (NZ$). You should expect to be able to switch between cash and cards quite seamlessly, as all major credit cards can be used in New Zealand. Alcohol and restaurant meals can range from moderate to quite expensive so prepare yourself accordingly. We'd like to thank New Zealand's incredible tourism board for allowing use of their travel footage: http://www.newzealand.com/ ---About New Zealand--- New Zealand, exists on a remote island in the Pacific Ocean and is home to over 4.6 million people, and nearly 30 million sheep. The country is divided into two portions: the North and South Islands separated by the Cook Strait. The North Island is home to many hot springs and geysers while the South Island is mountainous, forested and covered in glaciers. Over 75% of New Zealanders call the North Island home, and more than 15% of New Zealand's energy comes from renewable resources. 🤟 Find your tour through New Zealand: https://www.tourradar.com/d/New-Zealand?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=New+Zealand:+The+Ultimate+Travel+Guide+by+TourRadar+5+5+ST1809-New+Zealand&utm_content=YT+Description ℹ️ Learn more about New Zealand: https://www.tourradar.com/travel-guide/New-Zealand?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=New+Zealand:+The+Ultimate+Travel+Guide+by+TourRadar+5+5+ST1809-New+Zealand&utm_content=YT+Description 🎬 Watch another video: "7 Things To Do in Sri Lanka": https://youtu.be/u3ZarK9wigk 📚 Visit us on Days to Come: "7 Unnatural, Natural Sights of New Zealand": https://www.tourradar.com/days-to-come/natural-sights-of-new-zealand/?utm_source=Youtube&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=New+Zealand:+The+Ultimate+Travel+Guide+by+TourRadar+5+5+ST1809-New+Zealand&utm_content=YT+Description ✌️ Subscribe for more travel tips & inspiration: https://www.youtube.com/user/tourradar?sub_confirmation=1 🌍 #gotouring with TourRadar: https://www.tourradar.com ----------------------------------------------- 👫 Let’s get social! Food Journey Afghanistan Full Documentary

31:18
Afghan cuisine has a style of its own. Fatty dishes are an important fuel in this nation of harsh landscapes and freezing winters, with oil used liberally and mutton fat traditionally added to many dishes. Unlike some in their region, Afghans like their food neither too spicy nor too hot, and they are renowned for their use of dried fruit and nuts.

Street Food in Ghana - GIANT CHOP-BAR LUNCH and West African Food Tour in Accra!

25:16
This was an incredible day of street food in Ghana! ►Check out Jay: https://www.instagram.com/mukasechic/ ►SUBSCRIBE for 2 new videos per week: http://bit.ly/MarkWiensSubscribe ►T-shirts and caps available now: https://migrationology.com/store/ Jay (Mukase Chic) is an amazing woman, so positive and talented, and so much fun to hang out with and eat with! She’s a food personality, a chef, a restauranteur, a blogger - she’s incredible. Check out her Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/mukasechic/) and YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC8y8uGewOe2NAuNQALV_uaw). Anyway, so Jay took me an ultimate street food tour in Accra, here’s all the amazing food we ate: Red red (bean stew) and plantain - This was the first stop, a small stall that Jay has been eating at for years. They fry plantain, and then serve the plantain along with beans stewed in palm nut oil, and combine it with gari, which are cassava flakes. The result, is a filling and very satisfying combination of sweet and tangy plantains with salty oily beans. What’s key as Jay explained to me is the palm nut oil, which provides so much oil and fragrance. It was delicious, and a perfect way to begin this Ghanaian street food tour in Accra! Total price - 4 GHC ($0.90) Nima Market - Next we caught a taxi to Nima Market, known for its spices. We tried everything we could find, which was quite a lot of snacks here and there. The market was fantastic to walk around, full of action and energy. Coconut toffee Tigernuts - 1 GHC ($0.20) Masa - 1 GHC ($0.20) Zowey (adaakwa) - 1 GHC ($0.20) Kulikuli - 1 GHC ($0.20) Boiled egg - 1 GHC ($0.20) Fried cheese - 1 GHC ($0.20) Burkina - 3 GHC ($0.70) Bofrot - 1 GHC ($0.20) Peace Chop Bar (Chop Bar - Local Ghanaian restaurant) - Finally, to end this street food tour of Ghana in Accra, we stopped back at the chop bar that we had visited earlier in the morning. Seeing the cooking was sensational, it only made me hungrier for lunch. By the time we arrived back, they had already sold out of a few dishes, but there was still plenty enough to choose from. I tried the banku with goat meat, and it was fantastic. Total price - 36 GHC ($7.90) This was an incredible day of eating street food in Accra. Many thanks to Jay! How I make money while traveling the world (and eating)

05:45
►How to Start a Travel Blog: https://migrationology.com/how-to-start-a-travel-blog/ ►How to Make Money While Traveling: https://migrationology.com/how-to-make-money-while-traveling/ The number one question I get asked is how I can afford to travel, while making money, and blogging. I'm going to answer how I make money, and also how I can afford to travel and eat in this video. Also, I'll share how I think you can do it too! There are many many ways to make money while traveling, and I have friends that are working on cruise ships, blogging, affiliate marketing, freelance writing, and even skydiving, while earning money to be able to maintain a lifestyle traveling. But instead of sharing all the ways on how to make money traveling, I'll first share the ways I make money. First I want to say that all of these ways that I make money while traveling are all the result of initially starting a blog back in 2009 and committing to writing quality and useful information on it on a regular basis. If you want to make money while traveling, I'd highly recommend you start a blog on whatever you're passionate about and begin blogging high quality useful information to show your expertise, and also connecting with others. (If you're just starting a travel blog, Travel Blog Success is an excellent course that I recommend: https://travelblogsuccess.com/?ref=18 [affiliate]) 1. Affiliate recommendations - This basically means earning a small commission as a referral. There are many companies (places like Amazon and Agoda.com for hotels) that offer a commission if you refer someone to a purchase. As an example, on my website I give away a lot of free useful tips about visiting Bangkok (http://migrationology.com/bangkok-thailand-travel-guide/). And I also recommend a few hotels which, some of which I've previously stayed at, and others which I've just visit and highly recommend. So if you were to click one of the links and book that hotel, I would get a small commission as a referral. I only recommend things that I use myself or trust. 2. My premium travel and food guides - The biggest way I make money while traveling is by selling my premium travel and food guides (http://migrationology.com/travel-guides/). Right now I have the Bangkok 101 things to do guide, Eating Thai Food Guide, Vegetarian Thai Food Guide, and the Delhi travel guide, and I'm working on more. I prefer to sell my own guides than doing advertising on my website, because I can trust in the quality of my own guides. 3. Freelance writing - As a result of first starting my travel blog back in 2009, I've had the opportunity to do numerous freelance writing projects, some big and some small. I've written for a few inflight magazines, as well as CNN Travel, and various other newspapers, magazines, and websites. I used to dislike writing, but the more I started blogging about thing I really enjoyed (like food) the more I enjoyed it. And after committing to it and blogging, I've been able to connect with so many others and had chances to write for many places. A blog is a great way for you to have a public profile of your expertise. 4. Video, YouTube - Finally, the fourth way of how I make money while traveling and blogging is through videos. I made the decision to start making videos and I have committed to it. Ads on some of my videos is another chunk of my monthly income. Along with how to make money while traveling and blogging, it's also important to say how I can afford to travel? Most of the money my wife and I make now goes back into our traveling and eating. However, it's all about your priorities. We don't own a car and pay for gas, and instead we choose to buy plane tickets and eat street food. You have to set your own goals and priorities and live intentionally to pursue them.
